Ran an easy 5 with Paula this morning.  My legs were tight and my knee was a little twingy so I was pretty cautious.  Stopped and stretched a few times along the way and then came home and stretched good again and then did some scrapping.

My goal for tomorrow is to run a strong race and feel good.  This is probably not a PR course, and due to my less than stellar training the past few months I would expect to be around 25 -26 min.   Definitely not my best or what I would like but I think that is pretty realistic at this point.   I am excited to catch up with FRB runners and see friends more than anything.

Good luck tomorrow. I am sure you will do great!! Races are always fun and exciting, esp when other bloggers are there. Garrett was excited that they were on TV for the game and is excited to see it!

Good luck tommorrow! Are you doing the Heart of Holladay? I'm doing the Provo Riverwoods. You know, with all that knee thing and tightness- I'd like to suggest a massage. I'm sure you know that, since you also do the scraping. But man, a good massage does wonders. I don't know much about the scraping, but since I read Josee's blog about running injury free, I've been using the rolling pin to keep my quads loose and it's really helped my knees. Anyway--have a great run whatever you're running tommorrow!

I am running Heart of Holladay. I also use massage - my husband does a pretty good job and the stick. I have really learned the benefit over the past few months of injury the benefit of taking care of your body. I had Josse scrap me about 6 weeks ago, and I have been completely different since then. I try to do it on my own and do okay, but she is the best.

I was hoping to see you at the Westfest 5k but just committed to sleep at the zoo that weekend for zoosnooz. If you want to send your kids away for a night there are still some spots available :)

Hope you have a great race tomorrow.

Thanks for the shoe info. Mine are Asics Gel Kayano VI classic. They felt okay for the 3 miler.
