Ran with the BBK today.  My legs were very tired from yesterday so I struggled keeping up.  I am so tired today.  I made the mistake of having an short nap yesterday which I think affected my sleep last night, so today  NO nap :(

PM:  After a day spent preparing next years budgets, calendars and phone calls, my 11 year old decided my day had not been bad enough and she needed to add to it.  Apparently I am a mean, horrible mom because I limit snacking and no playing until after homework and jobs are done.  Oh the drama, Oh the tears!  I had enough and went AWOL for 3 fast miles.  It was so nice being outside  in the crisp fall air.  I decided I should do this more often, especially because I went super fast (for me) 8:00, 7:41, 7:40!

Nice run yesterday . Sub 8 woot!

I miss naps :) I think they should be a staple in all of our days though. Like a siesta! But not if they keep you up at night ;)

Thanks for running with me today Jody. I felt like a dang turtle. I feel pretty good now but boy I struggled during the run. I'm glad I wasn't the only one:)

Naps feel so good at the time, but then they come back to bite you!! But, still, occasionally they're nice. Hope you're feeling more chipper on Thursday.

You were ahead of me the entire time, so I guess I am a snail!! We ran barely over marathon pace, that is a pretty decent run! GOOD JOB!

From Jody on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 14:01:26

Kelli,

I wanted to run with you and Britta and then you were gone. It was a good run though, but I felt it!

From Kelli on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 14:11:47

I felt it, too. I have been feeling it since the marathon. SLOW LEGS, achy legs, too!

See you Thursday.

From britta on Tue, Oct 21, 2008 at 15:23:46

I wish I had a chance to talk to you too. For sure on Thursday!! Thanks for inviting me again! It is just what I need to keep me going during the winter.

Super speedy Jody!!!!

Its amazing what kids can get out of you- like speedy little runs! Great job & smart stress relief. Tell your 11 yr old that you're not the only mean Mom on the block. I have a "no electronics" rule for the kids M-Th (no TV, computer, video games, etc unless using the computer for an assignment). Yeah, I'm the meanest mom on the block!

Oh what a motivator children can be. I think I have gone on a few stress relievers. Kids are so funny!.

You are a machine, putting out 8:30's when you are dog tired!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 22, 2008 at 13:44:11

Great work on that second run!! It is a good stress reliever, but man it got cold yesterday! You were a brave soul.

And your rules are the same as mine, so I guess I am mean, too! The meaner the better! When I taught school and the kids told me they hated me because I was so "mean" (strict), I said, "GOOD! Then I know I am doing my job!"
