Very sad..............Knee not feeling well at all today so I decided not to push it and go home.  I am going to get a deep tissue massage and hopefully that will help.

Happy Running!

Sorry to hear about your knee... It's probably wise to stay off it for a while longer. Maybe try running on some grass when it get's to feeling a bit better.

Oh no, Jody! I'm so sorry to hear about the run. I agree with rest. I mean I read all these books about achilles issues and either people could continue training, or had to stop completely, and I know that personally once I stayed off of it the swelling and tenderness went away. If I kept running it just continued to hurt. I'm praying for you. I think a couple days rest should do the trick!

Have the therapist work the quads and adductors (it will kill) really good.

I'm a little freaked out that we are all falling apart! Between you, Lybster & I (and all the other injured bloggers) its not pretty. I hope the massage helped your leg! I'm unsure about Spectrum too 'cause my achilles is acting up- I don't know why 'cause I haven't done anything different than I can think of. Ah well...Good luck!

What is going on with your knee?

From JOdy on Thu, Mar 06, 2008 at 20:51:03

James - Just sudden onset pain after the 15K. Probably due to lots of muscle tightness. I went for DTM today and I am hoping to be feeling better soon!! You get feeling better too!!!

From James on Thu, Mar 06, 2008 at 20:53:19

I hope you do get feeling better. Where does it hurt?

From Jody on Thu, Mar 06, 2008 at 22:09:54

The sharp pain is at the knee cap. It is worse going downhill. I was feeling pretty good until I went down my stairs.
