Today I accomplished to goals I have been thinking about over the past month.  The first was to run 7 miles in under 1 hr.  Today at the 7 mile mark my time was 58:57 (I pause my watch at traffic lights, I hope that is okay).   I probably would not have even known but I checked my watch with 1/2 a mile to go. YEAH!! I felt great at the 7 mile mark and the ran home what I thought was an easy mile but my split was 8:20 which I consider a fast mile for me. (Time to re-evaluate what is fast for me) The other goal I accomplished was to run a sub 8:00 mile.  I really did not think that this had happened today and thought that it would take more time but when I ended my work out, my Nike + ipod thing mentioned that I had a new personal record for the mile.  So before sitting down here I sent my work out to Nike and mile #3 was 7:36 - I had no idea I could run that fast.  So today was great!!!!

Happy Running!

Sounds like you had a FABULOUS run!! I just love it when I accomplish a running goal I have set for myself, makes getting up so early easier. :-)

Great job! Have a great day.

You need to talk your dad into doing the Spectrum 10K. You and Marcie need to gang up on him. :-) Is your mom going to do it again this year?

Linda -

They are going to be in California that week. I was hoping we could get all the Jacobsen girls to run it again but it might just end up being Marcie and I.

Thanks all for the support and comments!!

Holy Smokes! You are really making progress! Time to do another 5K, I'd say--that record is going DOWN!
