The Oval does not open early on Thursday's so we headed to the rec center. The place with an indoor track that 11 laps = 1 mile. 80 laps later we had completed our run. I had several laps in which I ran hard on the straightaways and took it easy on the turns and a few overall faster laps. I did not know if we would make it or not. After 1.5 miles, my body knew that there was a bathroom available and that I should use it. At 2.5 miles I thought " If I can just make it to 3 miles, I can be done" Pretty soon the lovely lady from Nike + Ipod said " 3.5 miles to go" and I thought I will run until Paula has to leave. She was really patient and waited for me to get to 7. It is over. We decided it is not something we would choose to do often, but a much better alternative to becoming a human popsicle.

I'm surprised you didn't get dizzy running in circles like that! You have some serious dedication. Are you getting excited for your trip? The boys are planning to play with Cami and "Wibby" tomorrow!

That is true dedication! At least you were where a bathroom was present. I hate when it hits and there is no where to go!

Wow!! I can't even imagine running around on a track 80 times!!! It's a good thing you had a running partner to keep you from going cRAzy!! ;o) Great job getting it done! Some days I wish I had a track to use ...

80 Laps! Wow! Are you ever allowed to switch the direction you are running? That would probably make it a little more interesting--dodging people and so forth...:)

You girls are amazing! I lose track after just a few laps on a track, but 80- whoa! That's dedication. Good choice- its WAY too cold to run outside up there! Awesome pace as usual- and esp. with all those curves on the track!

We'll miss ya this Sat, but Spectrum in March will be great. You picked the nice, downhill, scenic run w/ great weather! (You've probably ran it before- I did it last year and LOVED it!)
