The Banff Film Festival tour was awesome as always. My favorites were Delta Dawn and Sufferfest 2.

Into the Empty Quarter wasn't on the list last night. Assuming you saw it in Ogden?
We wish they would spread out the 3 SLC shows over 3 months, instead of 3 nights in a row, so we could see a bigger variety of films. I can't sit that long or stay up that late for more than one night.
Here's Sufferfest (1) if you want to check it out -

Yeah, I saw it in Ogden. I'd recommend looking it up. Thanks for the link...

I watched Sufferfest 1 last night. Clearly they just shot it on an iPhone or something and weren't trying to win any awards... didn't have the production quality of the desert towers. But still a fun story.

I'm with you. Sufferfest 2 was perfect and Delta Dawn was an unexpected favorite. Cerro Torre was a bit disappointing in dialog and story but I loved the sequence of Lama freeing the last pitch of the Compressor route. Made my palms sweaty.

Delta Dawn was refreshing in a lot of ways... it gave a sense of hope, and showed how resilient nature can be, despite man's best efforts to ruin it.
Re: Cerro Torre - I'm not expert in post-production, but you would think there would be a button you could press to CHANGE THE FREAKING FONT on the subtitles!
The film had more potential - if it had been produced by Camp 4 Collective or Sender Films, I think the story would have been more captivating and exciting. All the elements were there for a sensational film, as opposed to just a good one.
