PM - 6 miles in Park City.

By the power vested in Rob Murphy, Andrea and I were finally married on Saturday. It was probably the best multi-day stretch of my entire life. All along, we had a vision of an action-packed weekend in the mountains that would leave everyone exhausted (and exhilarated) from dancing, laughing, and running/hiking at high altitude. It all played out in a way, and with an energy, that I can't even begin to describe - a perfect celebration not just of Andrea and I, but of the family and friends we love so much. I think the festivites reflected exactly who we are, and why we are together in the first place.

I'll have more photos and videos to post as they start to roll in (and after I get some sleep - I've been operating on pure adrenaline for the past two weeks!)... and I'll slowly get caught back up on my running log as well.

A special thanks goes out to Rob (The Mountain Minister!) and the entire Murphy family. They were much more than friends, they were family... and they played as big of a role as anyone in making this such an amazing weekend for everyone involved.

Great pictures. Those sparklers were nice.

I can't wait to see the post-sparkler / water bucket surprise shots. The photographer took almost 5000 pictures so it might take a while for her to sort through those.

how many weddings have at least 15 guests willing to run uphill at 8500 feet? :)

i'm so happy for you two. it will be hard to top that mountain party, even if the peruvian dash makes a comeback.

thank you for the opportunity to finally fulfill my dream of altitude dancing to usher's YEAH!

From Jake K on Wed, Jul 13, 2016 at 20:01:21 from 67.166.113.191

Thanks gentlemen.

Allie - how many weddings have 15 people do that run TWO DAYS IN A ROW? (especially after just wrapping up the flip cup a few hours before)

I don't how we can top it. Maybe ask Rob for an annulment, then do it all over again next summer. But I think I'll just call it good - one wedding, out on top.

I think I pumped my fist and yelled "YES, I love this song!!" at almost every song during the dance party. In hindsight, I sent them a playlist about 72 hours before the reception, so I guess that wasn't too surprising. Just the right amount of Usher, Taylor, and Savage Garden... perfect balance.

There was no Prince. That was really bad and ruined everything.

Congrats to the two of you! Looks like a great time!

I gave Chad and Kristo two lists:

1) Songs to definitely play

2) Songs/artists to not play under any circumstances, even if requested. This included tunes such as Cotton Eyed Joe, YMCA, Chicken Dance, Sweet Caroline, and artists such as John Mayer and Prince

Congrats Jake and Andrea! A very late congrats... Pictures look awesome, a wedding that would actually be fun to attend!

What happened to the jeep getting towed away? Traded it in for a minivan already?

From Jake K on Wed, Jul 20, 2016 at 09:12:28 from 159.212.71.69

The white wolf did it's usual "start blowing green/brown gunk all over the ground". Fortunately it happened just as I was pulling up the lodge so none of the adult beverages were harmed. It got towed down to the valley, something (who knows what?) was fixed, and allie/james gave me a ride to go pick it up a couple days later. It all worked out perfectly. I actually (semi-joking) predicted it would break down about 15 minutes earlier (with no warning), so it turned out to be fairly funny when it happened.

You gotta give the jeep credit for contributing to the #WhatCouldGoKrong theme for the weekend.

Congrats to you both! I am glad that Chad and Kristo worked out.

Chad and Kristo were top-shelf. Everyone loved them!
