Beautiful, warm afternoon (the weather this entire week has been fantastic)... had a nice chunk of time to walk the city once last time after conference ended.

Great pictures, especially from the hike, wow.

Yeah it was pretty much the best week of work ever :-)
Those aren't even the "good" mountains in Austria. It's a beautiful country and they really take care of the outdoors.

That looks awesome. My coolest conference was way over in Minnesota. :) Enjoy! I think it'd be tempting to spend a few years abroad if you visited some of these places.

I sympathize Matt; who goes to Austria for work? Let me think of some of the places I've gone for work over the past few years...Leesville Louisiana, Barstow CA (Mojave desert), Baghdad, Shreveport LA, Rapid City SD, Vegas, Qatar, Albuquerque NM... I'm glad I don't travel in my current job anymore!

Matt, Joe
There are certain professions that do a better job than others in taking care of people with cushy conferences in exotic locations. There's tons of money in the medical profession, so there you go. $20,000 for a bag of chemo goes a long way for hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
Unfortunately education is not one of those fields either what with being accountable to the taxpayer and all!

Matt - It would be pretty cool to live in that part of the world (Austria/Switzerland)... the lifestyle there really jives with what Andrea and I like to do.
Joe - have you ever been to a place with water? :-)

Baghdad has the Tigris River.

Forget the Tigris.... where I was, there were some great man-made lakes to run around - Saddam had siphoned water that farmers needed so Uday and Qusay could have a place to waterski. It was great!

That's awesome. I've never delved in SlowJoe2010, and within 2 clicks I see a picture of you sitting in Saddam's living room chair!
The canal in Baghdad reminds me of... Phoenix.

Trained for my first-ever marathon there...good times. Good, weird times.
