AM - 5 miles.

PM - Skinned 1800' at Alta w/ Andrea. Snow was mashed potatoes. It started raining at 8500' which means the season is winding down in the Wasatch. But maybe we can hold on a bit longer.

In a lot of places, like our neighbor state to the east, mid-April to mid-June is the apex of the human-powered ski season.

Wow that top pic is so stunning! Too bad it's no longer ski season in St. George... been about 11,000 years.

From Amiee on Wed, May 13, 2015 at 20:28:32 from 24.10.188.197

My thoughts exactly Rob! Speaking of Trail Running... does anything look runnable up there yet?

From Jake K on Wed, May 13, 2015 at 21:03:20 from 98.202.128.218

allie... lol. The south!!!

11,000 years??? - what are they teaching you in school, Preston?

I don't know if anything is runnable up there. I'm sure it is somewhere. Still plenty of snow on northern aspects above 8500'. South/West are dry. I guess it's somewhat selfish to want to extend the ski season but it's something that Andrea and I really enjoy doing together, especially since neither of us can run as much as we'd prefer to at the moment, and we love being up in the mountains. You guys will get your wish very soon, don't worry.

You may need a new history teach Presto! Oh Wait😁

11,000 years ago is the approximate time St. George slid down from the North Pole so it could be Brigham Young's summer home.

I think I read that on a historic marker next to the Cafe Rio on St. George Blvd. once.

And the last wholesome stop off before you get to Nevada.
