AM - 17 miles. Possibly a horsepark loop record.

PM - 7 miles. 6 + 10 x 30s uphill. Not exactly popping on these, but was able to keep the effort honest. We've got a red-eye flight to Knoxville and I didn't anticipate being motivated enough to crank out hill reps tomorrow.

Unboxed a fresh pair of wedding shoes for the weekend...

Were there any horses left or did the glue factory claim them all?

Glue smell was gone yesterday. Just a one day thing I guess. One horse acted up, everyone else learned a lesson.

Hope you want 20 snapchats of them at various locations throughout the Atlanta airport at 6:30am eastern time tomorrow!

I'm surprised you youngsters have heard of the Jazz.

I was strictly a Nike guy in the 80s. Tailwinds, Waffle Trainers then nothing but the Pegasus for a decade.

Actually, I did buy a pair of Brooks Vantage's with the patented varus wedge. I remember Saucony being the least gimmicky of all the shoe companies back then.

I'd be a terrible representative for the Saucony team if I didn't know the history of the Jazz!

I actually have a couple pairs of the Jazz and pass off the solid black ones as work/dress shoes under the "I'm not allowed to wear non-Saucony footwear" excuse. Although I will admit to wearing Merrell brown leather clogs for general work purposes - luckily they are Saucony's cousin now.

The "technology" in shoes during the 70s/80s is pretty comical now.

i had these in high school: http://goo.gl/odF4kg

they were my mint toothpaste soccer game day good luck shoes. many, many people mocked these shoes...and now they salivate over them on pinterest.

Yeah now they make those in special editions and sell them for a couple hundred bucks per pair. Those are truly "fresh" as in "minty".

Long live Reebok Pumps.
