AM - 14 miles. LT Reps: 6 x 1500m (300m) in 4:48.7 avg. HHS track. Target was 4:49. Tight splits. Nice extension of last week's session - a little longer, a little faster.

PM - 7 miles.

I smell a 140 creeping in. You only needed 8k of LT today. Luckily, no more speed this week. Off to ID?

9K was the plan for today. Probably back to 8K next week. I modified a bit from what I originally showed you. And I'll stay under 140 :-)

I have to work on Friday so we aren't making our annual Pioneer Days trip to pay homage to the mighty Tetons.

Man - that schedule is good for nothing.

You should be doing a desnews race then. Boycotting because they boycotted the circuit?

I'm not in shape to be racing yet. It will beat me up for 4-5 days, and I'd miss the rest of the stuff I have planned for the week. Keeping the miles up, getting in a good long run... those are the fitness builders I need right now.

Also, I said at the beginning of this year I was boycotting unrealistic downhill races (at least for 2014), and I'm sticking to that. With the exception of Top of Utah 1/2. That's my favorite race in the state and generally it's been in the ballpark of reality for me - good timing out from Chicago too.

Hemmm . . . Krongpeats? I like the patient increases.

Great progress. Doing 1500 on, 300 off at the track without messing up the stop/start point is even more impressive.

I wheel off 6 meter increments and spray paint them on the track beforehand, then simply count to 50 on the rest intervals as I go past them. Simple!

the HHS principal is soooo mad about the orange spray paint.
