Finally sacked up and registered for the USA Cross Country Championships. An inevitable move since we already had plane tickets. From a performance standpoint, it could be ugly. But on the plus side I'll get a t-shirt and we will get to spend a fun weekend with all of my old housemates from Vail.

What are you racing for if not the shirt?

The first year I did the Zoo Run 5k I got the shirt because I didn't think I could opt out. It's an ugly shade of light blue, 100% cotton, and it reads, "It's Otterly Awesome" (complete with otter, of course). The next year the guy at registration said, "no shirt?" as if he was a bit miffed.

The ones for Beach to Beacon are decent for race shirts, in case you are still toying with that idea. Too early I know.

We will absolutely be in Maine that weekend. Our friends' wedding in that Saturday afternoon in Southport. So ideally I'll get to run B2B this year.

If you are looking to ski, I can pretty much guarantee Utah will get hammered with a couple feet of snow from Feb 6-8 since we'll be out of town :-)

Boulder T-Shirt update: they were out of all men's sizes except XL by the time we got here, so I ended up having to take a Womens shirt. It's flattering!!!

Who the fudge racing in Boulder wears an XL? That wouldn't fit me! Although if they are throwing them away I'll make a cape.
