AM - 10 miles.

PM - 7 miles. Ran pretty fast for the last quarter in lieu of strides.

I'm sad to see rollerblading on the decline.

How do the hippies that do the drum circles in SHP get there then, huh? Do they not count?

From Jake K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 08:49:10 from 199.190.170.24

Make sure you snapchat FiveThirtyEight and let them know.

Bowling was right up there along with blading which in part might explain why my kid got two free summer bowling passes from school.

Maybe all that bowling will straighten out the other leg who knows..

From Jake K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 09:28:49 from 199.190.170.24

Bowling is great ancillary training. Just ask allie.

Jason - The drum circle is in Liberty Park, Sugar House is much more genteel and suburban in nature.

From Jake K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 09:42:05 from 199.190.170.24

Until they open up the tunnel in 3 weeks and all the pretentious snobs from Whole Foods and Red Lobster start making their way across the border into the park.

From Jason D on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 09:53:21 from 24.1.80.94

Yes. After I wrote that I was actually thinking maybe *Liberty* Park made more sense. This is why strict textual analysis only gets you so far . . .

Red Lobster?

From Tom K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 10:35:47 from 174.58.4.250

Yeah! The Red Lobster folks are only slightly less pretentious than the Sizzler customers! So Smug!

I guess this is a bad time to introduce the sport I invented that combines horseback riding, paintball and darts.

From Jake K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 12:36:42 from 199.190.170.24

Are you kidding? You could charge $75 per entry for a horse/paintball/dart 5K.

What I've learned about the novelty racing scene over the past few years is that the worse a race sounds at first, the more likely it is to succeed.

Go for it, Joe. Make this dream a reality.

(I wish I still had my paintball guns!)

I recall some "runs" we did back in my fraternity pledging days. We were ahead of our time in terms of novelty racing.

Most involved some form of streaking.

From SlowJoe on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 12:50:21 from 168.215.171.129

Hmmm, maybe. It's not a 5k though, it's contained in a giant octagon surrounded by electrified fencing and barbed wire. I'll think about it...

From Jake K on Wed, May 14, 2014 at 13:03:25 from 199.190.170.24

So it's like Crossfit meets Electric Dash, with horses. Got it.
