AM - 6 miles. Liberty Park area run, including an out and back on the new path that parallels the Sugar House TRAX... concrete heaven. I felt a little tight but loosened up as the run went on. I'm going to continue to take it easy for a while.

It should be noted that I got contacts a few days ago, so this was the first time I was actually able to see any of my friends while we were running. What a good looking group!!!

Catch a re-stream of the Foot Locker Championships at some point today if you get a chance. Really exciting races. Conner finished as an All-American for the second straight year (7th place, just a second behind my buddy Elijah from the Sawtelle Stampede). Kramer also ran well, and it seemed like he passed a lot of guys in the final mile. West region dominated the boys race.

My assessment - he actually did very well with not running. That marathon must've wiped him out! He actually seemed to enjoy a few days off. However, he did get mad at me 50% more than usual so I definitely like it more when he's running happily! I just hope he has enough will power this next week to take a few more days off and take it EASY!! Hint, hint.

I promised that I would take 7 days off, but they didn't have to all be consecutive, so I still have 2 more to go. I'm actually relishing my days off at the moments as I start to build my 2014 winter/spring calendar and realize whats in store... thanks to stupid Bam and his understanding of how to improve lactate threshold :-)

Andrea tried to pick 75% more fights w/ me, so my 50% increase in getting mad at her needs to be put in context.

That's what my mom always says, Joe.

When I ran on Saturday, I realized my left achilles/calf had a knot in it... never would have figured that out otherwise. So I worked on massaging and loosening it up for the last couple days, and now I have a few more days to rest it.

And that's how the addict justifies the loophole.
