AM - 8 miles up to work.

Feeling some pep in my step after a fun weekend playing outside in Moab. Updated the last couple days w/ some pics...

Saturday - Arches

Sunday - Canyonlands

PM - 8 miles home w/ 12 x 1/4 mile (hot/cold). The "hots" were on average ~4 seconds faster than when I did this on Friday. Amazing what a weekend playing outside will do for you.

I want to go back already...the trip was too short!!

I agree with Andrea! I had the opposite of pep in my step today and think I could have used at least 3-4 more days.

"Pep in step" = Average pace ~7:55/mile

Awesome! I have been wanting to do a run down in Canyonlands for a while now. How are the trails? I'm looking for a 30+ miler.

Scott, I think the Needles district would be the better section of Canyonlands for a longer trail run like that. Look at the map of that area - the possibilities for linkups are amazing. We are thinking of going back in a few weeks.

The Syncline Loop would be the best bit for a longer run in the Island in the Sky. Although we lost the trail pretty easily :-)

I will look into it. Our crew wants to get down there for a run in the next month or so. Thanks for the info.
