AM - 9 miles. The group run was a JAJAFA today, as ACorn joined us. Our pack will be up to double digits by 2013 at this exponential growth rate. A nice casual pace - legs felt nice and loose. Andrea has been working on getting some of the knots/tightness out of my legs, hips, and back over the past week, and its doing wonders for my range of motion.

Here's the elite fields for Boston

PM - 3 miles shakeout. Rainy and windy, but otherwise nice out :-)

Awesome sauce. I love this blog and that it makes me feel like a rockstar knowing all you amazing runners! Emily and Jake in the elite fields...amazing!

From Andrea on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 08:47:40 from 72.37.171.52

I'm glad that you are finally seeing the light! Before you know it, you're going to love massages.

Some great fields at Boston this year. You will be right up there with the top Americans! How exciting is that?!

From Jake K on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 08:48:40 from 155.100.226.54

Its will be more exciting to be at the top of the list of finishing times as opposed to seeding times :-)

Emily Bates and Jake Krong! GO UTAH!!! Rip it up!

Ditto RAD too.... wowza

Pretty cool to be on that list Jake! I'm stoked just to watch, can't imagine how you feel.

From Paul on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 09:21:46 from 207.224.39.118

Pretty stacked field for the Top 10, Top 20 even. Too bad most of those guys will blow up. Your job will be to smack them on the butt as you go by. :-)

I noticed that Alexander Tomas is running...apparently he's in Ann Arbor now, I didn't know they moved from Utah.

If I lived closer I would definitely hold up the caboose of the JAJAFA train. :)

So so proud of you Jake how cool that you are on a list (not to mention darn near the top) of elite athletes throughout the nation. And your time is almost an entire year old. Think of how much you have improved and grown over that year. I am rambling but WOW just so cool and so proud of you!

From Jake K on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 09:49:00 from 155.100.226.54

That's it Paul - I'm just drumming it into my head all week - CONSERVATIVE start. Make it feel too easy.... then I'll be cleaning up the carnage over the last 10K.

From Carina on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 10:14:26 from 204.15.86.83

Even though I've never met you in real life I feel like a know you a little through the blog! It's fun to tell people about a guy I know that is going to be one of the first Americans to finish the Boston marathon!! Your strategy is perfect, that's what I did last year (much slower of course) and it felt good to pass do many in the last 5 miles! You are going to do amazing, I can't wait!!!

Awesome elite field! Way to go Jake and Emily! Check out that Masters Field in the Mens Elites, wow..

From DaleG on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 18:34:46 from 152.216.11.5

Kick some buttocks, Jake!!! When are you flying out? I'll be up bright and early Monday morning to watch and record the marathon. I'll expect to see you on tv the entire time.

From Jon on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 19:05:27 from 74.177.96.130

Good luck, Jake. We'll be following you.

From Jake K on Thu, Apr 12, 2012 at 08:23:04 from 155.100.226.54

Haha Dale maybe I'll be on there for the first 3 seconds but if you see me for any longer than that, that means I am starting too fast! :-)

From DaleG on Thu, Apr 12, 2012 at 13:02:20 from 71.199.57.238

Ok, so I expect to see you on the the last third of the race.
