AM - 16 miles. AT Tempo: 7 miles in 36:13 (5:10/mi avg). Tempo loop. Splits - 5:07, 5:15, 5:12, 5:15, 5:14, 5:09, 5:01. A little too fast out of the gates... thought the first mile would be ~5:20ish and was considerably faster than that. That's what I get for actually warming up properly. So I checked it back to ~5:15 for the middle part and then picked it up again at the end. 6 up, 3 down. Felt good.

PM - 4 miles. Ran laps on the grass at Liberty Park while Andrea rollerbladed on the paved path.

AT of 5:10 and holding back is very encouraging. Things are looking good. Very good, indeed-ee.

If that's AT then you are rocking it. Nice job.

5:10 is definitely on the faster end of the aerobic spectrum, but its also definitely not HM effort. I've gotten too comfortable in that 5:15-5:25 pace range for these workouts... trying to bust out of that.

Good thinking - I'm a little simple-minded but I suppose if you want to run a marathon @ 5:10 pace, you gotta practice it first! Nice run.

I'm always amazed how close you fast fella's HMP and MP is. Mine is usually 30-40 seconds. I do like a long warmup too. Not something you would do on race day, but of course race day has other advantages.
