Not get injured and stay consistent with my training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a 50 and 100 mile ultra.

Qualify for Boston... missed it by 8 seconds previously

Run one of those rediculously aided Utah half-marathons helter skelter down a canyon and get a PR.

Personal:

Married with three boys. Ran the Odgen Marathon in honor of my mother, a marathoner, who passed away from cancer and it just had continued from there. Grew up in a running family and have fallen in love with running, especially on trails.

This afternoon's run was one of the most brutal ones I have been on.  The wind was screaming from the north.  I wanted to fight the wind on the way out and not on the way back, that meant doing the Camp Williams Loop.  The first 3.5 miles were pure torture especially up the hill on Redwood to Camp Williams the headwind was brutal and would almost stop me in my tracks at times.  I forced myself not to stop and made it up the hill.

Just kept it easy in the narrows on the JRP and cruised along until I hit 2100 N. the climb back up to Redwood was also not fun and the wind was just beating me down.  Finally got back to my house and went in, I was feeling lightheaded for quite a while and felt totally wiped out even though I only averaged 8:20 per mile.

I am glad I got the run in and needed to get out today.  I probably just needed to eat something before I went out.  I should sleep well tonight.

I hate to make excused for the past couple days off.  Life just caught up, trying to paint the house, kid cracking his head open, work, weather, ect...

Got an early morning run on the JRP this morning.  Felt pretty good must be all the non-running I have been doing.  First 8 miles AP 7:40, last 8 7:27 pace.  AP for the entire run 7:33.  I met up with my wife when I was done and ran the last half mile of her 8 miler this morning.  I am proud of her!

My ache did not come into play really until the last 4-5 miles.  Got home and helped a good friend move all afternoon.  I almost passed out on his stairs trying to carry his washer up his stairs, I needed to eat bad.  Now I get to try to finish painting the house...
