Short-Term Running Goals:

Run on trails as much as I can.

Not get injured and stay consistent with my training.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Complete a 50 and 100 mile ultra.

Qualify for Boston... missed it by 8 seconds previously

Run one of those rediculously aided Utah half-marathons helter skelter down a canyon and get a PR.

Personal:

Married with three boys. Ran the Odgen Marathon in honor of my mother, a marathoner, who passed away from cancer and it just had continued from there. Grew up in a running family and have fallen in love with running, especially on trails.

Really good run this morning for a treadmill. I think just taking recovery runs the day before a good workout is going to continue to tbe the key until I can overcome all my injuries and maybe get younger. 2 mile warm up at 8:34 pace, then 4 miles at 6:53 pace, then 2 miles at 8:00 pace to cool down.  The pace did not seem too overwhelming and hope to lock in the pace into my legs as a conservative half marathon pace on flat ground.

I plan on running a half next month, our local Shamrock Half Marathon, which is a difficult hilly course.  I use it as a gauge every year to see where I am.  It would be nice to break 1:30 on the course.  We'll see...

Awesome tempo! The Shamrock Half course is definitely tough, but conquering Lake Mtn. will make Deception Hill and Evans Ln. and Kiowa Valley climbs all seem like paltry molehills. I think 1:30 is a completely reasonable goal. Wind is always going to be the unknown factor in March, here.

I'm still planning for Sat., still trying to get another runner or two.
