Today was one of those days that I was not looking forward to doing a long run. It was 36 degrees and very windy so I was not excited about battling the wind for 20 miles. I started out easy and just felt kind of flat today and a little tired. I ran out 300S to a section of road with some rolling hills and I just looped around this area for 10 miles to try to get more time on the hills. The legs started to feel tired around 14/15 miles but I still picked up the pace the last 5 miles into a head wind. This felt like good practice for the last part of the marathon because it wasn't comfortable. I am glad that I got out and get this long run in. This run was tougher than I thought it would be but I guess it was the combination of the weather and the fact I haven't done a 20 miler in around 6 weeks. 2:40:16 (8:01 avg) |
