Gulf Shores, AL: The achilles was really sore the last couple of days but felt better last night so thought I would try it today to see how it felt.  It was warm and humid this morning.  I started off real easy to see how I would feel.  It felt ok so kept going.  It actually didn't bother me the whole way so was very excited to get in a few miles.  I didn't have my Garmin so just ran by time.  Ended up with 42:50.

Jim, I feel your pain with the achilles. Hang in there- you'll get through it!

Thanks Bob! I trying strength exercises and riding the bike. Going to try taking about a month off from running then start back slowly. I have a couple of long bike rides coming up so a change of pace. How you doing?

Dave, how are you doing? You have a big race coming up. I wish I could be there this year. Maybe next year. I know you have been dealing with the achilles problems as well but seems like you are managing them. I hope everything goes great for Boston!

Doing ok. It's been a busy season, so challenging in regards to "balance". I fully understand the "achilles" frustration- just noticed in reviewing my logs that I was complaining about this a year ago going into Boston. Oh to be 30 again! :) Thanks for the encouragement and yes, hope to see you in Boston in '12.
