PVHS Outstanding Athlete of the Year 2013 Short-Term Running Goals: Get back into shape
Have good indoor/outdoor seasons
Never run the 2 mile ever again. Long-Term Running Goals: Run forever. Personal: My mother forced me to start running as a freshman in high school.. and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually ended up liking it. Graduated from Pine View High School in 2013 and, after a yearlong hiatus, I am now running again, this time for USU, where I'm working on a composite Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed major. |

| | 4 in the fields with Mia, Frida, and Stoner. We ran out to George Washington. It felt pretty yucky. I had only run a little bit before and I was sore from indoor soccer. Plus I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with my back. But it was fun.. we stopped to see some horses. I'm slightly terrified of horses though (not as bad as birds though). We saw one really fat one. And a baby. And a brown one. | | Add Comment |
| | 4 in the fields again.. but this time I was with Mia, Stoner, and Kaylee. We ran from Mia's to the JP tank thing. We stopped at the horses, but they were too far away to pet. And we stopped at the church cause Stoner can't use the restroom before we run, apparently. It felt fine.. better than yesterday. | | Add Comment |
| | First day back and.. I was actually okay. We had to stop at Boulevard so Rachel could use the restroom, and Frida and Kaylee left us. So Mia, Stoner, Taylor and I ran together. Twas a good time. I felt rather fine, even though we did mall run, which is the worst road run ever invented. It was okay. | | Add Comment |

5 putrid, horrendous miles out by Quail Lake. Worst run of my life.
Okay, okay, so the trail itself wasn't that bad. Yeah, it was steep and the pits on the sides of the trail were freaking me out. Plus, I stepped on the Forbidden Dirt. But, all in all, it was kind of fun. Except that my legs would have killed me if my stomach hadn't beat them to it. I was hurting sooo bad. Pretty sure I have shin splints all the way up to my elbows. And I don't know if it was because I hadn't eaten much, but my stomach was hurting like crazy. The way out felt much worse than the way back, because I have this problem with not knowing where we're going to stop. If I don't exactly know the turnaround point, the run feels SO much longer. Combine that with the fact that we were in the desert, and it just felt super terrible. After we turned around, I felt a little better. And when Coach joined us, I got this sudden surge of energy, and I felt like I could run way faster than I had been. So.. even though I said "NEVER AGAIN".. I actually think I would like doing this run again. So.. yep. | | Add Comment |
| | Double church run.. it was okay. Roberts ran with us, which was fun. And the pace felt okay. My quads were kinda sore from yesterday. And I got a slightly bloody nose on the way out.. but it ended up okay. On the way back, we kinda separated into 3 groups.. Roberts and Kaylee, me and Stoner, and Mia and Frida. So it was pretty quiet on the way back. But it was fine. | | Add Comment |
