A rolling hills course that the entry form describes as mainly flat, but running hils in the dark seems much easier to me. Used this as another post Ultra speed test and was mostly happy with the results. 1st mile in 5:40, 2nd in 5:50, and only faded in the last 1/2 mile(uphill) to finish. A great night for a run with much cooler temps than we've had recently.

So did this race actually start at midnight? Great and unique race.

Yeah, a midnight start. All the runners get those long glow sticks that can wrap around your arm or leg. The course workers all have flashlights to help point the way. This was the 16th annual, about 350 runners, fun race.
