Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

5am...5 miles in warm weather but sticky snow on the pathway. (Xodus)

A coworker passed away on Monday, planning on retiring this year. Sad and sobering for ensuring I am focused on the important things in life.

I slept in today.  Went to breakfast with a couple of buddies then hit the gym around lunch with Kami.  10K on the TM at 6:28AP.  Felt controlled and easy, listening to Malcolm Gladwell Podcast made the run go fast. (Supernova Green)

Errands with Kami today then friends for cards tonight.

8am...stayed up late playing games with friends (Risk, had not played that in a while).  Slept in until nearly 7am!  Went to the gym and ran 10 miles in 1:05:20 for a 6:32AP, felt really easy.  Found that I really like listening to podcasts on the TM better than music, times goes by way faster!  Listened to Malcolm Gladwell debate (friendly) Adam Grant and "Thinking Biblically". (Guide White)

3 miles with Moxie in a light snow, she has been getting antsy since I have not taken her out regularly in the mornings. (Glide Boost)

Katelyn has a dance today and going to my coworkers funeral, sad.  Making my focus on retiring as soon as I am able more meaningful so I can get on with my next phase of life using my 10 hours a day in a different intentional manner.  I will still do my curent job to the best of my ability to have impact/significance and glorify God, but looking forward to doing different things in the next phase.  Target location is looking very feasible right now based on planning and calcs pending evening moderate returns of 401(k) for the next 6 years.  That along with pension, savings and SS should make it dobale.
