| Took off this morning for the Footlocker West trip with 120 kids on two buses with about 10 adults as chaperones (yikes!). Stopped and ran in St. George then continued on to Las Vegas. Sheparding 120 teenagers on Fremont St. in Vegas is a stressful situation. On top of having all the hotels canceled this week and getting rebooked in the Las Vegas Hostel...was actually better than anticipated and probably better than the original hotel booked (and 1000% better than the rat hole we stayed at in 2014). Vegas is just horrible.

| Drove to Pomona, CA and previewed the course with all the kids at Mt. SAC. The course was very muddy and more rain came tonight. So the course was officially changed to a "road course" which was loops in the parking lot for tomorrow's race. Kids are bummed.
We skipped the trip to the Santa Monica pier and helpe organize all the hotel rooms for the kids.

| I skipped running the race as I was too busy with the chaperone duties for the kid's on the second bus to the race.
Got to see both of my brothers, Logan Fielding, Dave Holt and James Barnes!
Spent the afternoon and evening at Knott's Berry Farm then got on the bus at 10:30 for a straight shot back to Idaho.

| No running, very tired. Arrived in IF around 4pm after a long trip including two drivers changes (in Vegas and SLC). Long day, don't want to see a bus for a while.
Kami and helped quite a bit with all the logisitics during the weekend. Several coaches said that we helped them "feel like assistant coaches" where they focused on coaching the kids and not all the other coordinating activities. Glad we could help out...don't want to do this again for a while.

A quick review of my running stats (for my own validation) since I started training for marathons and really tracking mileage in 2005. Prior to 2005, I didn't track mileage besides in my day planner and ran at most 3 times a week for about 2-5M each time for the previous 5 years (2000-2004) as I was more focused on weight lifting and tennis in this period. Estimate that I ran about 3,000 miles total prior to making running my central athletic focus in 2005.
