Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Easy 8.15M run this morning...calves still a bit stiff, but felt better the longer into the run that I got. Will try to do a faster run at lunch today.

Good slower MP (6:24) run at lunch in pretty windy conditions...but the temp was perfect.  Calves feeling better, left one still a bit tight.

We do need to form some sort of group for St. George. Sasha thinks I am in shape to run at least a low 2:30 but I am still trying to figure that out. Either way I think there will be a good group gunning for the 2:35 range that we can put together. It does help to run with a group and stay relaxed for at least the first half. Everyone says St. George is a big time negative split course so I was thinking a 1:17 to 1:18 first half would work. Sasha says if you run a 1:17 first half then this would equate to a 2:31 finish if all goes well. He says even if you crash you are still looking at a 2:35 worst casse. I guess I will have to trust his judgement on this one.

Sounds good to me. That is about the type of split that I was thinking as well (1:16-1:18) then hitting it harder after the downhill starts (easing into about a 5:30ish pace or so for the second half). I have a buddy from here in IF who may join us, can you think of anybody else in this 2:30-2:35 range we should try to bring in? James? Kory?
