"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka
"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

9.4 miles commute to work - really nice outside this morning with temps in the upper 30's and light rain for most of the run. may or may not run home depending. pm - 9.2 miles commute run home. carbon copy of this mornings weather, nice temps and light rain. slight headwind. legs really really tired but everything suddenly came to life for the last couple of miles and i felt strong. wanted some extra miles today as i'll be running very tiny miles the next two days.

11.2 miles on the LPT starting at frontrunner station going south out and back. sun, 40F. today was one of those days that if i weren't trying to run each day this year, i probably would have taken a rest day. felt pretty run down all day and mentally i just felt blah. luckily for me though, i have this little running streak going so i actually did get out and run and it turned out being great. first mile was the slowest @ 8:57, fastest was mile 10 @ 8:04 - 8:38 avg for the run. WT 59.3 miles fifty-three
