"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

I mow my lawn on hump day too. But I don't know what the rest of that means so I'll just say Jim Morrison is cool.

this guy was doing yard work as i ran past. he was about my age (but young if he were Liberace), all friendly and greeting me with a voice just like Liberace. it was an odd moment for me as i was zoned out when suddenly i heard that distinctive voice and looked over to see some dude with a hoe looking at me.

LOL! Except if he really was like Liberace, he wouldn't have a hoe with him.

no kidding. he'd want me to be his hoe.

Haha nice run! Nice weekly mileage?! I'm refraining from the joke comments cause I don't wanna offend.

thanks Thayne.

how could being Liberace's hoe possibly be offensive to anyone?

Hence the reason he was happy to see you. It's been a long time since he sowed that ground with his hoe.
