"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

6 miles, nice and easy on the hilly fire break road with dog. Sunny, low 40's. It's been awhile since I last ran up there because of winter conditions. But it's dry and runnable now. 9:33 avg.

We watched Marley & Me this week. Thought about you because it looked like your dog to me.

You really must get rid of the donuts. ;)

I love your dog! How dirty does he/she get on the trails? My dog get so yuck just running on the street with me!

From JD on Wed, Mar 17, 2010 at 20:59:05 from 209.183.51.44

Photo's changed, from doughnuts to dog.

From JD on Wed, Mar 17, 2010 at 21:01:12 from 209.183.51.44

April - they get dirty, but they're both short hair dogs so it dries and comes off...all over the car, and house. You gotta love dogs.

I still see the doughnuts, unless you got a new dog....

A-Em - try refreshing your page.

From auntieem on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 15:41:44 from 67.182.146.94

OK, there he is. I am going to name him donut.

From JD on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 15:55:48 from 70.96.78.157

Donut would've been a cute name for him. When we got him his name was Buddy so we just left it at that. He's such a friendly dog though, you could call him whatever you wanted and he would love it.
