"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

No run today.

Excuses:

1 - Too busy at work.

2- I'm "a little" under the weather.

3 - I've run seven days in a row and I need a break. (even though my mileage is very low).

4 - It's dang windy outside.

5 - I can't focus on anything because I'm too excited for Burt's marathon tomorrow.

I like reason number 5 the best. I hope you feel better, take it easy if you can

Reasons 2 and 3 are the most legitimate.

Funny, I so wish i was there to watch Burt run this one and cheer him in. I tried, I lost.

Hey, what happened to 60 degrees today? It is cold and windy out there. Stay inside. You have earned a break.

You definately deserve a break... 7 days in a row is enough. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Thanks you guys, er...girls. I've been gobbling vitamin C for a couple of days now and I think the worst is past.

and yeah, the weather forecast 63 degrees today. I don't think it got above 55, which is still nice, but it just kind of felt chilly all day.

I took off Friday too. Great idea!
