"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

The other day I had to chase my friend down the street while she was running to get her attention, she couldnt hear me with her ipod on and It turned into a challenge for me, I was running as fast as I could and the closer she got to me the better I felt. Im so grateful to be in shape and be able to do little things like that.

WOW nice miles for the middle of the week. I don't think I could run that long on a lunch break.

Lysa, just wait 'till you're chasing old age.

Lori - each day is a mystery as far as whether or not I'll be able to get a good lunch run in. Most days it's no problem, other days forget it. I haven't given up completely on early morning runs yet. When I increase my mileage I'll have to get a run in in the A.M.
