"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Yes, I also need a dog or two. I am envious of your warm weather and your dogs. Going to check back later and see if you did another two-fer.

are your dogs as dumb as mine and always cut you off when you are trying to run? good job. I was in Farmington today going to lagoon, I wanted to stop by but didnt. Maybe next time

I've thought from time to time that it would be nice to have a dog to run with, but that thought is override by my desire to not have another living thing in my house that I have to take care of.

From Lysa on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 20:39:56 from 76.23.52.240

Carolyn, that is a very wise choice..

From JD on Wed, Jul 08, 2009 at 22:33:05 from 32.176.149.113

Carolyn - dogs are great. They provide companionship, home security and ask very little in return. They breed responsibility in children too, teach your kids to take care of the dog.

Lysa - the dogs have learned the hard way that it hurts to not pay attention where their human is while running. Lagoon? You're very brave!
