"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

So it's raining?

From auntieem on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 13:05:16 from 67.182.145.8

You folks have it too easy. Ya gotta learn to LOVE the rain, embrace being soaked, find the joy of splashing through puddles, treasure the shoes that are still squishy wet the next morning. HaHa, we just went 28 days here (near Seattle) with no rain. I don't really like rain, and mostly am so jealous of YOUR weather.

In Utah we're now well over double our average rainfall for June.

Personally, I like running in light rain when it's warm.

I'm glad to see you got out for a run, especially one that felt super.

You did SUPER, too.

Have I said how much I love this weather????

From Kelli on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 11:22:41 from 71.219.76.64

I forgot to mention how COOL you look in your new picture.

From JD on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 12:13:22 from 64.65.159.206

Yes, well, that's my "cool" pose. I'm loving this weather too.

Carolyn - hopefully with this week being easy, and the same next week, I'll be healed up and feeling even super-er by July.
