"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

NICE HALF MARATHON! {do you even remember when that seemed like a lot of miles to run?} You are awesome. Good job! And sweet avg. also.

Nice. A private 1/2 marathon.

A half marathon - just another day's run.

BUT.....a half marathon was not enough. NICE JOB for hump day!

Happy LATE Anniversary, I hope you two had a marvelous day!

Still debating a 30 on Saturday. What are you thinking??? I just can not decide what is wise, but, honestly, since when do i do what is wise?

From JD on Thu, Mar 10, 2011 at 11:42:29 from 70.96.78.149

Thanks. It's easy when you only run every other day.

Kelli - hmmm...wisdom...not sure I'm familiar with the word. I'm not feeling as gung ho about a thirty miler this Saturday. Weather forecast looks a little iffy, and now I've got a work conflict in the morning which means I wouldn't get out to Antelope Island until around 11:00. I still may do that. I'd like to get a long run done, but if the trails are going to be muddy, I'll just run on the roads. If you want to go for it, I'll meet you out there for sure. Otherwise, I'm on the fence.

I keep thinking the wise thing to do would be a nice and easy "shorter" run! I probably will not decide until I head out the door! Get your work stuff done and do not worry about me!

I do agree about the weather, I think it might not be worth a drive to the island to run in the mud! Plus, with the snow we just had, i am betting it is yucky out there. The part that we ran last weekend (when you were running circles) still had snow and a bunch of mud, so i bet it is a mess now.
