"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Dang, it is getting warm. I know most people are happy, but I am not most people! My run will have to wait until 8 pm again!!!

So, how is everything feeling? GOOD??

Nice variety.

Variety is the spice of life.

I don't mind the heat so much. Although the older I get, the less tolerance I seem to have for really hot temps.

Yes, everything is feeling really good Kelli. I'm out of shape though. But no achilles pain. Hope to keep it that way. How about you?

Thanks Carolyn -

True, Burt.

Some pain, severely out of shape, got kind of chubby! ;o)

From JD on Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 19:33:59 from 71.37.100.47

Yeah well your mileage looks really good lately, hopefully it's making you stronger.

I'm going in for a root canal tomorrow morning. Don't know how much running the rest of this week will bring.

Another one??? Yeah, take it easy after that. Teeth are the worst.

From JD on Tue, Jun 21, 2011 at 19:43:15 from 71.37.100.47

Yeah, I'm like the poster child for "Middle Aged Men Who Never Went To the Dentist and Now Have to Pay for It with Multiple Procedures in a Relatively Short Period of Time."

From Stacie on Wed, Jun 22, 2011 at 00:31:09 from 67.166.127.0

will you two stop talking about how you're out of shape. Sorry about the root canal. I think you're just trying to be gone the same time Lysa is. Will miss you both.

From Kelli on Wed, Jun 22, 2011 at 00:49:59 from 71.219.92.225

Stacie, I promise you that if I had been runner #12, you would have beat me up that hill. I PROMISE.

Good luck with that darn root canal. I hate those things. But there are worse things out there, like a 50 mile race. ;o)
