"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Total Distance
12.20

12.2 miles - from work to the rio grand parkway, out north and back. 4 very easy miles, then 1 min. on/off x 20, then 3-ish very easy miles to finish. 8:42 avg for the run. 100th consecutive day in a row (my last day off was christmas 2011). determining to run everyday has really simplified my life and helps to subsidize the slacker in me. not being a very strong runner to begin with, running everyday has definitely made me a stronger runner.

WT 53.8 miles

one hundred (let the celebration begin)

* 825.5 miles/100 days = 8.255 miles per day. for me, not bad. but i hope to bring that up a bit by the end of the year.
