You don't even want to know what happens in Oklahoma and Texas when there is that much snow. The government shuts down and there is a run on bottled water, firewood, etc, as people prepare to hunker down for up to 24 hours until the 55 degree afternoon melts it the next day.

Even people who live in places that get a lot of snow go crazy buying water, milk, bread, eggs, etc. I mean, it's good to be prepared, but . . . I have heard the southern states shut down at even the suggestion of snow. Makes sense. If you never drive in snow, 2 inches can be very dangerous.
I assume you will be funneling some warmer weather northward? 4.5 inches here yesterday 40-50 degrees+ starting Saturday. Should have plenty of melting time so I don't eat tar at 10 mph on Saturday morning.

I don't mind running in the snow, but it was really slushy in places and hard packed snow (ice) in others. Fluffy snow is okay.
