No run again today. -13 with a -40 wind chill. I think that crosses the threshold. Gym was closed.

Need to get in shape. Starting to think Boston might be a training run and run Sugarloaf again.

I shaved my beard and gained 5 more lbs.

In cheerier news, I offer the key to a successful smoothie. An avocado.

Some strength work later. Might run in circles in the basement. I once heard that Nelson Mandela used to run the equivalent of 5 miles in his cell. I guess the rest of us can work around our own obstacles.

PM: 40 minutes of jogging in circles in the basement, drills, weights, planks. About an 65 minutes total. Managed to average 149 BMP, which is testament to neither the speed of the jogging nor the size of my basement. Still, 40 minutes of aerobic jogging is better than crying into this giant salad topped with smoked salmon.

I love that you jogged in circles in the basement. Picturing it just makes me laugh.

Nice post today Jason.

I agree, nice post. I'm glad (in a weird way) that I'm not the only one dealing with these temps. This year has been unreal.

One day after my kids pounded laps in my house for an hour or so I measured how many feet one lap was, and figured out how many miles they ran.

I just now started posting my weight in my blog again. Don't worry, it'll come back. :)

Funny entry! Funny and sad. Mostly sad. So did you weigh yourself before or after shaving the beard? These things matter!

Good to see a run today - is Newtone a gym, or did you venture outside?

Matt: I won't be posting my weight for a while. It's pretty embarrassing honestly. But I am still committed to my Bam adjusted weight of 162-166.

I can't remember, Joe. But it was pretty serious. Well, for what I can manage :) Newtone is the gym. It's pretty decent. I think. Never really been to one.
