Did a loop using the main roads in my parents' town and a few other towns. I passed the memorial for my high school physics teacher, Mr. Ridgeway, who died in a car accident a few years ago. I will name the loop after him. This run was very enjoyable. Got several miles on hard-packed dirt. 16 miles in 1:58 (7:23 average). Longest run since the marathon. Slow the rest of the week with a sprinkle of razzle dazzle on Wednesday to sharpen up for Saturday.

Great run Jason. Any goals for Saturday?

I think a PR is doable. I'd like to run a little bit faster than one 1:18 half marathon pace, so I have a shot of running ~1:18 at Philly RnR in 6 weeks. So 5:55-6:00 pace. I'd like to break 37 minutes.

Sounds like you'll be flying! Very doable Jason. According to Mr. McMillan you're there. I think, too, with the volume you've had lately your cardio's there too. 6 weeks is a lot of time to fine tune that, too.

i'm excited to read about the razzle dazzle tomorrow.

good luck this weekend -- sounds like you have a good plan.

Thanks, Allie. It's just a sprinkle. But it will be exciting because I will be running a good bit faster on the same track that I ran my high school freshman PR in PE . . . 9:15 .this is why I need Bam around. I usually throw an idea out, he tells me it's good, then he says "or you could do this . . . "
