Just checked out Sugarloaf marathon - looks like a pretty cool course. After getting my butt kicked in the never-ending hills during the last half of Tulsa, the "last 16 miles are downhill" sounds pretty sweet. Looks like you have a nice sequence of races building up to it as well. Should be a good cycle.

I kept going back and forth on this one because I don't think it is closed to traffic, but it is very enticing with the last 16 miles being downhill and it's in Maine so I can see my folks. I decided against running one in April because I wanted to run a strong half and I couldn't mind a half/full combo that would work logistically.

I can definitely understand that. I'm guessing it is certified? (for BQ purposes) but it didn't say on the website.

Deciding on races is definitely a tough puzzle to put together sometimes - they never seem to be just when and where you need em.

It is certified I am pretty sure, but I have to double check. I am not sure the course is closed to traffic, but it isn't super busy and I will probably make my parents drive next to me to cover me and hand me water and gels. Of course, if I qualify I will still have to run sub-3:05 again in November at Indy. I understand why we have to claim aided courses as such by why don't we get bonus points for hilly courses?
