Cold this morning (18 degrees). Megan and I are going to Dearborn this evening for dinner with a colleague.

Apparently there is a Planet Fitness going in directly behind us in the old Hollywood Markets building. It's about a two minute walk at most. I guess if we have to live where we are for another year and a half, having a gym that close is a bonus (our complex gym is terrible.

I've always been a bit of a gym rat and I love mine (24 Hour Fitness) and I won't apologize for it. The more workout options you have, the easier it is to be consistent.

Sounds like things are working out well for you in Michigan hey?

You still need to road trip up to Bad Axe (Huron County where we Murphy's hail from) and visit Murphy's Bakery. Cabins on Lake Huron at Port Austin are dirt cheap if I recal correctlyl.

I like the gym. I have several Planet Fitnesses around, the gym at Oakland University, and a gym at our complex, which works in a pinch but it is often hot and it's basically the size of a large bedroom.

The trip to Murphy's Bakery is on my list. We were supposed to go to Bad Axe, as Megan has a student that told her about a kayaking place. I told her it was essential to stop at Murphy's Bakery.

Things are good in Michigan. A bit of a rough transition for me the first year or so, but things are much better.
