Don’t need them most of the time, but I don’t know why people don’t at least have a window unit in the bedroom. Couldn’t do that in the Midwest and certainly not where you are!

My in-laws in Northern Minnesota don't have AC either. Every time we visit it seems like there's a freakish heatwave and its 90 degrees. Plus it's about 10 degrees hotter in the upstairs bedroom. Fortunately, the got a nice RV with AC which I've adopted as my home on our visits. Plus I can put beer in the RV refrigerator which is forbidden in their house.

AC isn't a thing in seattle, either. the more luxurious businesses advertise "come on in, we have AC" and i think it's funny.
