North side - 4.5 miles, averaged 7:33.

Did ~2:00 around marathon pace. 3 Johnson strides (I've added another name to my battery of names for strides).

Carbs, carbs, carbs . . . ready for a second nap of the day.

Read through Jeff Shadley's 2012 Boston race report. Inspiring for sure, and in that heat! Looks like we will have pretty favorable weather conditions this year. Wishing everyone the best.

Gee, thanks! Glad it helped.

Moving to Philly this summer? Graduation here you come! Gotta job lined up?

I often mine old reports from faster runners and learn a lot (whether it is about the specific course, fueling, or whatever). I am glad we have access to them. I read the report after thinking about your time. I knew some times you had run around the same period and I realized just how strong you had run in that heat (the warmer weather got me this year, so in 2012 I wouldn't have made it to the finish).

Looks like I am moving to Philly to (finally) be with my fiancée. I won't be graduating just yet, so I think I will be teaching part time and finishing my dissertation some time in the next year. Tentatively looking at publishing jobs, which would be a bit more permanent. But I am holding out for a tenure-track job as an assistant professor when I finish. The market is pretty deplorable, so things are going to be tight for while but they already are.
