Purdue Co-Rec - 9 miles easy, then headed up stairs to do 6 x Atrium Strides (1.25 miles total).

Just a watch click under 30 seconds (4:46 pace) on 170 meter track with slow people on the inside (as it turns out you really should run the outside given the short, unbanked setup if you are running fast). Around 64 second lap recovery. Didn't feel like I had any energy but this was good. Felt controlled despite the tight corners, but I can run faster (and safer) than the treadmill.

Purdue had the briliant idea to build two tracks (9.5 laps to a mile and 10.25 laps to a mile). As Brandon pointed out they should have just built an 8th mile like everyone else.

Evening: 20 minutes of stretching and rolling. Another 25 pushups.

10.25 laps/mile -- i would mess that lap counting up in a hurry. atrium strides -- a specific type of stride or just the name for your strides?

Who comes up with those lap lengths anyways.. And two different sizes?

The Atrium is the name of that section of the gym (elevated track). I call them Atrium Strides because it sounds fancy :) 169 meters and change. Good for some 28-30 second strides. Much faster and you might blast through the glass windows by taking the turns too wide.

Matt: I guess it was what fit with the building. But with a 100 MILLION DOLLAR UPGRADE, they could spare a total 30 meters.
