AM: North Side - 6.5 miles, averaged 8:21

PM: Jefferson High School, modified due to closed roads - 7.25 miles, averaged 7:48. Started with a 9-minute mile, then picked it up a bit. Did .75 @ 6:05 pace, which is estimated current 10k pace.

New, untested theory. My right foot sweats more than my left (observation based on level of audible squishiness)

I like that "level of audible squishiness". I'm now going to pay attention to my "squish, squishes".

Awesome race Saturday Jason! You ran very well and paced great without the Garmin. Your training's really paying off.

Big congrats on the 2 grand, too! You've got 5 months to coast to 3.

When I was running with a buddy Sunday he could hear my feet squishing (I thought he was referring to my pounding feet, as I was pretty tired from the race the day before).

Saturday pleased me. It's pretty flat (well, very flat), but I was still happy with my pacing. After the first mile it was a matter of holding on (you kind of have to push a bit more because it's easy to slow down without the Garmin crutch). I am pretty pleased given my mileage and not too many workouts or anything longer than 13 miles. Oh, and this extra lard I am carrying around! I'd like to see where things go when I dropped about 10-12.

Ha! I sometimes think I run better about 8 pounds heavier than I think I should be. Just that much more to burn..

I'm not quite ready to try anything without the Garmin. It's very intriguing though. I'm anxious to see how you do with the 10k, too.
