AM: 231 out and back - 19 miles, averaged 7:28 w/ a few MP miles coming back down the hills. Threw in some faster miles at 14 & 15 (6:32; 6:18) then ran home. Guess there was another MP in there at 17 (7:12), but it didn't feel like it. I was pretty tired at that point and didn't have much sense of pace.

A gel would have helped, but I'm not taking any until my final, big workout. I do remember sleep-eating a banana at 2 or so this morning.

PM: 4.2 miles, averaged 8:28

Good solid LR. I'm with you on the gels - never for training, just to get that race day advantage!

And those bananas thought they were safe once the lights went out...

They usually are safe. I love Cliff Bars, but I had to stop buying them after I began eating two in the night.

You see, I'm right: before you were a jogger chomping on bars and gels during your warm up and now you're running 19 miles and only sucking air. You're now, just about, a runner:) And, as I type this, you're top of the mileage board - careful up there - the oxygen is thin!

It's not where I belong. 4 guys at 100+ last week. With no Jake K and maybe another few who have been up there but weren't that week. I think I'll save the 100s for when I really get to be a runner :)
