AM - 7 Treadmill @ 1%. Nothing to crazy. Had to hit the treadmill again - so I just did the same thing as last night. Weight is holding steady at 150 this Holiday season as compared to last were it climbed up to 155; goal is to keep it here with healthy eating (and enjoying the occasional holiday treat!). (Cumulus red 411.45)

afternoon  - weights then 2.7 home from PVHS.  Running after lifting is not that great.  (Paramount 327.65)

evening - 10 club run up SC Parkway Trail.  Ran with Dustin for a little while, then ran by myself as not too many people were there.  (Precision 158.65)

Coach Holt, thanks for the sympathy. Hey I have 5 years of cold winter running left before retirement. I expect to become a snow bird.

From Dave Holt on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 11:40:02

Nice Brent! There are plenty of places around here, and we could use some young "snowbirds" to add to the community.

Dave. 150 pounds! I am not going to say it? You say it skinny boy!

From Mike Warren on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 17:43:34

155 lbs!!! Wow, you were on your way to the Clydesdale division, Way to bring it back down! Are you running with the club tonight?

From Paul Petersen on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 17:50:56

I know what you mean about winter weight. I hit 155 myself several winters ago. It was the only time in my life where I wasn't skinny!

From Mike Warren on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 17:59:20

Paul, you guys are killing me!!! I went from 240 to 186 lbs over the last 6 months. Thought i was doing pretty good, now i find out i am not even close!! I am 6'3, i don't think i will be going much lower. We'll leave the 150's to you Fast guys!

From Paul Petersen on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 18:07:44

eh, if it makes any difference, I am 5'9"

From Wildbull on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 18:28:18

6'8" 150 with blue eyes. and i still have hair on my head!

From Mike Warren on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 18:36:46

Bill, which one of your legs did you say weighs 150lbs? Hair on the back does not count "Sorry"!

From ryan on Thu, Dec 13, 2007 at 21:49:38

hey dave i have been 180 pounds pretty consistant. sometimes i think that if i could just put on 20 more i could be a clydesdale. my problem is that i weigh about as much while training as i do when i am not and my waste size never changes.

From Dave Holt on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 09:22:31

For me, this is the only place I can mention weight stuff - If I talk about it at home or mention that none of my clothes fit anymore, my wife rolls her eyes and tells me to get lost!

From Logan on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 12:01:47

What time do you guys usually run on Thursdays for the club run? I will be down next week and would like to hook up with you guys.

From Jon on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 12:29:39

Mike, I think Paul is down to about 120 lbs, now.

I agree with Dave- I was talking about losing weight with a tri-athlete at work the other day, and I started thinking it didn't sound to good to the people around us who would kill to be as skinny as us right now.

From Dave Holt on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 12:37:39

Right now we are running at 5:00 from the store. Why will you only be down on Thursday?

From Dustin on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 13:13:11

I was 136 after the marathon and 140 most of the summer. However, I've gained about 5 to 7 pounds since the marathon. Time to get moving again. When I was in college I was around 130-135. I need to get a better scale, I'm always checking my weight, but not eating healthy enough and training enough to be losing the weight right now.

Nothing wrong with keeping your treats healthy. One of the falsehoods of our society that fun is not fun unless it is counterproductive. It requires more effort to find fun that builds you, and stick to only that type of fun, but it is very well worth it.
