9.2 including 5 miles in 29:45 at the red rooster ramble. I am very happy that I broke 30. It was a bit hard for a tempo, especially the last mile. I would put my true tempo pace for 5 miles at 30:00 to 30:15 right now. But given that I am 15lb heavier than I was in the spring and coming off 40-50mpw vs 80mpw I am very happy with the time. I just need to focus on losing weight and getting the mileage in. Speed is not the issue. The first mile was 5:38 and felt easy. I just need the 5th, and the 13th when it comes to the half marathon to feel just as easy at a good pace. |
