9.2 including 5 miles in 29:45 at the red rooster ramble.  I am very happy that I broke 30.  It was a bit hard for a tempo, especially the last mile.  I would put my true tempo pace for 5 miles at 30:00 to 30:15 right now.  But given that I am 15lb heavier than I was in the spring and coming off 40-50mpw vs 80mpw I am very happy with the time.  I just need to focus on losing weight and getting the mileage in.  Speed is not the issue.  The first mile was 5:38 and felt easy.  I just need the 5th, and the 13th when it comes to the half marathon to feel just as easy at a good pace.

5th!?! wtf, got beat by some freaking HS kids as well as 2 others. But at least I passed the 2 guys I went out with. 1 of them caught me at the last mile but I stayed with him and then outkicked him in the end. Thats why the last mile was harder than it should have been.
