Did these on the middle school track with a strong  N. wind of 12 mph.  Nice and cool, but more windy than I expected.  I tried to keep the effort on these at 90% regardless of the times.

So you are feeling like you didn't even race on Monday, huh? :-)

Yeah, I was a little sore in the quads for a couple of days is all. Mentally I feel pretty good about where I'm at.

The taper helped my lingering runners knee heal up and I seem to be the healthiest I've been since last September!

So healthy I decided I am going to do the Twin Cities Marathon in October.

It makes sense... you tapered, rested, got over some nagging injuries... then basically just did a hot long run while ODing on calcium pills. I'm actually not surprised that you feel so good (based on how I am feeling as well).

Twin Cities... sounds awesome!

It should be a fun a race. Those roads are where I did my college training. I've got a lot of friends and family for support too.

It's not an easy course, but everything's going to seem easier now that I've run Boston in 90 degree temps.

Also, since it's in early October I could probably squeeze in another 1/2 marathon in the late Nov. or maybe fly to Vegas for the Rock and Roll 1/2 at night!

If you run RnR Vegas 1/2, I'll do it too. Andrea and I were actually talking about it yesterday, how its kind of perfect timing to wrap up the racing year before the xmas holidays.

It really is, I love running one in December. Otherwise the layoff becomes really longggg until Spring rolls around.

I'll talk it over with Jen and see what she thinks. I know she really enjoyed the last one we did. For us it will probably just come down to finding someone to watch Jameson, if we can afford another trip, etc...
